Aston Martin Formula 1 Leadership Program

My experience with the Aston Martin F1 Leadership Program was a transformative 9-month journey that offered both technical insight and professional development. I had the unique opportunity to work alongside industry leaders, like my mentor Ben Fitzgerald, who guided me through Aston Martin's cutting-edge manufacturing processes and gave me invaluable career advice. From exploring Formula 1’s precise engineering techniques at the Silverstone factory to learning about race simulation technology, every moment deepened my understanding and passion for the field.

I also had the chance to enhance my public speaking skills under the guidance of Louise Goodman and participate in numerous leadership and development sessions led by inspiring figures like Reggie Nelson and Earl Talbot. These experiences helped sharpen my communication skills, team management abilities, and personal brand—skills that will propel me forward as I pursue a career in mechanical engineering.

Being surrounded by passionate, accomplished individuals from all over the world made me realise just how enriching it is to collaborate across cultures and backgrounds. The diversity of perspectives and ideas was a huge source of inspiration and is one of the reasons I’ve decided to study abroad. I want to continue learning from and contributing to a global engineering community.

The program inspired me and gave me practical knowledge, from improving my resume with the help of Aston Martin’s recruitment team to learning the intricacies of the motorsports industry from key experts like Mike Krack. Graduating from this program was a significant milestone, and I’m eager to continue applying what I’ve learned as I advance in my engineering career.
